Dave Dawood

DJ Biography
Born and raised in the heart of Manchester David Dawood was destined to follow his dream of becoming a producer/song writer, not just any producer but one of the UK’s finest. At a very early age Dawood started perfecting his skills as a DJ. Working part time after school and at weekends enabled him to save up and by his first set of dj decks and all the latest records out each week. He also managed to set up a small home studio, where he began making beats and writing songs. Determined to succeed he made contact with a pirate station and landed his very own show for 4yrs building up a huge fan base. But that wasn’t enough, David was determined to fulfil his dream of writing and producing music. In 1997 Dawood landed his first dj-ing job in a small nightclub and his dj-ing work just escalated from there, as he started dj-ing all over Manchester. In the mean time he was writing and producing beats for local talent in the area. In 2001 he began an apprenticeship at a local recording studio recording and producing artists not much younger than himself from around the community. Working hard day in and day out alongside a close friend he managed to pitch a song to an established boyband Blue who were already having no 1 hits in the Uk charts. The track called “Flexin” was accepted by the label and was released on blues second album “One Love” Which sold over 1 million copies in the UK alone. After the success of the Blue album Dawood managed to pull himself a Publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing. In 2002 he was able to set up a professional recording studio where the hard work really began. Working with various different labels singers and songwriters enabled him to Produce a catalogue of material in various different styles of music. Still concentrating on Dj-ing David went on tour with Blue in 2004–2005 up and down the country also travelling across to Ibiza and Ayia Napa. He also went to Greece for 3 months in summer 2006 as a resident dj for one of the biggest party resorts Greece has to offer. Currently Dj-ing in three major nightclubs in Manchester, Dawood is back in the UK back in the studio doing the job he loves the most, and is currently being recognised more everyday for his talents as a producer/dj. His ongoing project is called MADE IN MANCHESTER an album of hip-hop and RnB music featuring some of Manchester finest talent.
